Key changes to Google Partners promotional offers

Beginning February 2022, the new Google Partners programme is making important changes to its promotional offers. In a bid to win new clients, eligible Partners and Premier Partners will receive £400 instead of £75 of spending credit when they join the programme.

What is the Google Partners programme?

The Google Partners programme launched in 2013 to support advertising agencies or third parties managing Google Ads accounts on behalf of clients.

Why is it important?

The programme provides Google Partners with critical resources and tools to support their growth to help advertisers succeed.

What are the changes?

The following updates will be available to all eligible Google Partners from February 2022.

1) High-value offers

Available to new clients, Google Ads credit will jump from £75 to £400 in a bid to help them kickstart their campaigns. 

2) More time to qualify

New client accounts will benefit from 60 days instead of 30 days to spend £400 to qualify for the £400 credit.

3) Linked to Partner status

From February, high-value offers will be reserved for Google Partners and Premier Google partners, boosting their visibility in the marketplace. 

For members, any current promotional offers will remain applicable to client accounts until the end of March 2022. This will provide them with more time to meet the new Partner or Premier Partner requirements.

Which accounts are eligible for the promotional offers?

The promotional offer will be applied to any account managed by a Google Ads manager account if it meets the following requirements:

  1. The manager account is a Premier Partner or Partner.
  2. Promotional offers are switched  on.
  3. The account has no other promotions applied.
  4. The account is billed to a country where Google Partners promotional offers are offered.
  5. The account served its first ad impression within the last 14 days.

How to activate promotional offers

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.
  2. Click the Partners program tab and look in the upper left to find the ‘Promotional offers’ card.
  3. Click View details, and choose On.
  4. Click Save

How promotional offers work

After promotional offers are activated, they apply to eligible accounts that have served their first ad impression within the past two weeks. Click view details to see which promotions will be applied to your accounts.
